The conditions, process, and required materials for obtaining ISO certification
1、 There are 5 procedures for applying for ISO9001 quality management system certification, and the specific steps are as follows:
1. The applicant shall submit a formal application signed by their authorized representative. The application or its attachments should include:
1) Brief introduction of the applicant, including the nature, name, address, legal status, and relevant human and technical resources of the organization.
2) The scope of products or services covered by the certification application.
3) Copy of the business license of the legal entity, and if necessary, provide a copy of the qualification certificate and production license.
4) List of consulting agencies and consultants.
5) The latest national product quality supervision and inspection situation.
6) General information about quality systems and activities.
7) The applicant agrees to comply with the certification requirements and provide the information required for evaluation.
8) Explanation of other reference documents for the standards applicable to the proposed certification system.
2. The certification center provides relevant public documents according to the applicant's needs.
3. The certification center shall make a decision on acceptance, non acceptance, or acceptance after improvement within 30 days after receiving the application materials from the applicant, and notify the client (auditee). To ensure that the requirements for certification are clearly defined, documented, and understood; The difference in understanding between the certification center and the applicant has been resolved; The certification body has the ability to implement certification for the scope of certification applied by the applicant, the operating location, and some special requirements, such as the language used by the applicant; When necessary, the certification center requires the auditee to provide additional materials and explanations.
4. Both parties sign the Quality System Certification Contract
When a specific certification plan or certification requirement requires an explanation, the representative of the certification center is responsible for interpreting it according to the documents recognized by the accreditation body and publishing it to relevant parties.
5. The received information will be used for on-site audit and evaluation preparation. The certification center promises confidentiality and proper safekeeping.
The cost of obtaining the three system certification mainly consists of the following parts:
Firstly, there is the audit fee. The validity period of ISO9001 certificate is three years, and an annual audit must be conducted once a year. Therefore, the audit fee includes the initial and annual audit fees.
The first application for certification by a company is called preliminary review, and the cost of preliminary review is mainly related to the number of company members and the industry in which the company operates. In addition, the cost of choosing different certification agencies for enterprises will also vary. At present, there are hundreds of certification agencies nationwide, including some foreign-funded institutions. Generally speaking, the fees of foreign-funded institutions are higher than those of domestic certification agencies, such as SGS, TUV, BV, etc.
After obtaining the ISO9001 certificate for the first time, enterprises also need to undergo supervision and audit in the second and third years, which we call annual audit. The cost of annual audit is usually cheaper than that of initial audit.
If a company needs to seek guidance from a third-party consulting firm in order to reduce risks and improve certification approval rates, it will also incur certain consulting fees.
In addition, the travel expenses incurred during the project review period are usually borne by the enterprise through actual reimbursement.
